The UK Film Education Trust was established in July 2015 in response to industry feedback highlighting concerns about the future of the UK film and TV industry as a result of a nationally dwindling talent pool.
The UK Film Education Trust has been extremely useful in assisting young talent gain a experience and a foothold in the industry.
Based in the historic heart of the UK Film and TV industry at Pinewood Studios, we work closely with industry experts to identify skills gaps, funding and training opportunities to support the next generation of production crews in entering the industry.
There are lots of funding opportunities available for training in film and TV, but there are distinct gaps which need to be filled such as:

UKFET, in collaboration with Animated Women UK (link), an organisation set up to positively support, represent, celebrate and encourage women in the animation and visual effects (VFX) industries across the UK, are working together to promote female animators, and to support them by raising match and welfare funding to sustain them during training and work experience.
